Refund Policy

Last updated:

This Refund Policy describes when you may receive a refund or credit for fees paid to eventpipe. It applies to subscriptions and purchases processed through our authorized billing provider unless a separate written agreement states otherwise.

1. General principle

Fees for paid plans are generally non-refundable once a billing period has started, because the Service is delivered continuously during that period. We may make exceptions in the situations below or where required by applicable consumer law.

2. Subscription renewals

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle at the then-current rate. If you cancel, you retain access through the end of the current paid period; we do not refund partial periods except as stated below or where mandated by law.

3. Cooling-off and statutory rights

If you are a consumer in a jurisdiction that grants a statutory right to withdraw from an online purchase within a defined period, you may exercise that right in accordance with local law. Where such a right applies and you cancel within the allowed window before substantial use, we will refund eligible amounts as required.

4. Billing errors and duplicate charges

If you believe you were charged incorrectly, in duplicate, or for a plan you did not authorize, contact billing@eventpipe.app within thirty (30) days of the charge with your account email and invoice details. We will investigate in good faith and, if we confirm an error, issue a refund or account credit.

5. Service unavailability

If paid functionality is unavailable for an extended period due to a fault on our side (excluding maintenance announced in advance, force majeure, or issues caused by third parties or your configuration), you may request a pro-rated credit toward a future invoice. Whether a refund instead of credit is issued is at our discretion and subject to verification.

6. Downgrades and plan changes

When you downgrade or switch plans, charges are typically adjusted on your next renewal or according to the rules shown at checkout. Mid-cycle refunds for downgrades are not guaranteed unless required by law or explicitly offered in the product at the time of change.

7. Chargebacks

Before initiating a chargeback with your bank, please contact us so we can resolve the issue. Unfounded chargebacks may result in suspension of your account until the dispute is resolved.

8. How refunds are paid

Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method when possible. Timing depends on your bank or card issuer and may take several business days after we process the refund.

9. Free tier

The free tier does not involve payment; this policy does not apply to free usage.
